The modules provided include: an overview of ASD, strategies for managing behaviors, supporting social communication and friendships, transition supports, and strategies for increasing literacy. We hope that you will find the information useful. The modules consist of short (i.e., 10 - 15 min) video presentations, relevant articles to support understanding of concepts presented, and supplemental resources. After completing each module, you can take the quiz. Upon successful completion of the quiz, a certificate will be available for printing.
For those who are educators, you can submit your certificate to your district human resources department for in-service hours, if approved. CARD UF does not guarantee that course completion certificates will be approved. You may also submit a follow-up assignment for additional certification of in-service hours, if desired.
