Course Overview
This course is accredited for three hours of CPE credit and consists of four parts:
1. Video presentation
2. Course material
3. Exam
4. Course evaluation

Learning Objectives

Pharmacist Technicians 

At the completion of this program, the participant will be able to:

  • Define Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) and Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome (AIDS)
  • Describe disease epidemiology
  • Recognize modes of transmission including transmission between healthcare workers and patients
  • Identify infection control procedures, including universal precautions
  • Recognize Brand and Generic formulations, including combination dosage forms
  • Recognize medications used in the treatment of tuberculosis, hepatitis B and hepatitis C
  • Adhere to Florida laws regarding testing, confidentiality of test results, and patient treatment

Course Completion 
After watching the video presentation and studying the course material, students should then take the exam and complete the required course evaluation.

To earn credit, we must have your correct email address, have achieved a score of 70% on the exam and completed the evaluation.
