This course is accredited for one hour of CPE credit and consists of four parts:

  1. Video Presentation
  2. Course Material
  3. Exam
  4. Course Evaluation

 

Learning Objectives

Pharmacist Technicians 

At the completion of this program, the participant will be able to:

  • Differentiate between and define Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) and Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome (AIDS)
  • Describe disease epidemiology
  • Recognize modes of transmission including transmission between healthcare workers and patients
  • Identify infection control procedures, including universal precautions
  • Recognize Brand and Generic formulations, including combination dosage forms
  • Recognize medications used in the treatment of tuberculosis, hepatitis B and hepatitis C
  • Adhere to Florida laws regarding testing, confidentiality of test results, and patient treatment
