Pharmacists are uniquely poised as highly accessible healthcare providers to reach populations with barriers to care, but have we been adequately prepared to serve the transgender community? This presentation aims to start the conversation about providing inclusive care for transgender and gender diverse patients at the pharmacy. Topics covered include culturally-appropriate terminology, minority stress and health disparities, feminizing and masculinizing hormone therapy, and strategies to make your practice site more inclusive and welcoming.
